In terms of graphics, it's clear House of the Dead: Overkill - Extended Cut didn't start out as a PS3 title. But that's always been House of the Dead's shtick - replaying levels for high scores and earning more cash to unlock and upgrade weapons - and that's here. Through nine levels (yes, two more than the Wii version), curse words fly, a cheesy narrator sets up the action, and a popping/scratching filter mimics a '70s film reel. House of the Dead: Overkill - Extended Cut takes the content of the original game, gives it a much-needed HD coat of paint, and adds new levels as well as enemies.
